Monaco National Fencing Federation
HANDLE FOR SABRE HAS BEEN APPROVED ON 01/03/2012 BY THE INTERNATIONAL FENCING FEDERATION.
With the protrusion on one side only, the hand is not blocked. The hand can contract and relax freely just as it would with the French grip.
First users have been unanimous to confirm that the position of the hand is completely natural and effortless. This increased stability results in increased speed and sensitivity and reduces the impact of hits.
Many fencers wear out the rubber of their grip due to excessive pressure of the thumb, which causes tension of the arm and shoulder muscles, resulting in too much strength and insufficient suppleness, which greatly and negatively affects speed.
With this grip, the fencer will naturally use his wrist rather than his elbow and shoulder. His movements will be much more supple and teaching will be greatly facilitated.
